Café Manager/cook

Wild Acadia Camping Resort is hiring a full time Café Manager/cook. This is a hands on, fulltime, seasonal position.

*We are also hiring Cafe cooks and assistant manager/cooks.*

Managerial Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining inventory, orders, stocks, and rotates items. Dates all perishable items upon delivery. Keeps condiments filled.

• Cost control.

• Quality control.

• Ensure all crew members, front and back of the house, are providing second to none service to each other and the guests.

• Assist with scheduling of Café team.

• Open and Close the Kitchen based on Established Standards and Operating Procedures.

• Assist in creating new menu items for expanded three meals per day food service.

• Ensure efficiency and speedy ticket times.

• Training and supervision of kitchen staff.

• Store food products in compliance with safety and sanitation practices.

• Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns.

Hands on Responsibilities:

• Prep and cook café foods.

• Food preparation including the use of a grill, fryer, pizza oven, stove top sauté, baking oven.

• Operate snack bar including taking money, serving food, stocking and cleaning during scheduled open hours.

• Clean and sanitize snack bar facilities, including kitchen and commons area(s).

• Wipes down counters and commons area ensuring it is ready for the following day.

Must have:

• Restaurant kitchen experience.

• Basic computer skills.

• A willingness to cross train.

• A positive attitude.

• Ability to Interact thoughtfully and courteously with staff and patrons.

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.

• ServeSafe Certification.

We prefer candidates with management experience and are willing to pay for it, but we are more than happy to train the right first time management candidate.

Pay commensurate with experience and knowledge of kitchen operations.
